3 Steps to Strawberry Smiles
Strawberries, the ruby jewels that mark the beginning of summer, are best in my book, savored simply. (That and I don’t like elaborate baking endeavors, so easy is key for sweet eats at #TheHeanyHouse.)
Here’s how we had them this week for breakfast on the patio. Don’t judge, yes, we had whipped cream for breakfast. (We eat healthy eggs pretty much every day so one day of indulgence won’t hurt right?!)
My 3-year-old Hazel Alice loved making these with me – in fact, she was able to do most of it all by herself (which if you’ve had an independent three-ager you know how important that is)!
Hope you and your families enjoy this simply strawberry snack too!
Strawberry Crepes with Fresh Whipped Cream
- Add one pint of heavy whipping cream to stand mixer bowl or other large bowl to beat with handheld mixer with 2 tablespoons of confectioners sugar (or regular sugar works too).
- Slice strawberries.
- Spread whipped cream on store bought crepes, add strawberries, fold in half, then fold again and enjoy!
